HANDS! Raise your hands to the sun!! This practice of raising my hands to the sun has been a huge help to my mental health. Sometimes if I get down, it takes a lot to raise my hands in praise and gratitude of life, but when I do, I instantly feel better. Maybe not all the way better, but either way it's such a great stepping stone to happiness!

How often do you raise you hands?
The songs sing about it, and how wonderful to raise your hands while the music plays! In fact I painted this piece live at a bluegrass festival!
I always imagine the palms of my hands are soaking up the good energy of the music. A lot of power can be transferred through the hands! Isn't it wonderful!?

Painting at live music is SO inspiring and it's definitely one of my new favorite things!

It's extra fun with a light up canvas!! Yep, see those stars? They light up! I found this canvas at a thrift store and had been saving it for months to create at that specific festival! I had no idea how fitting it would be, as over that weekend there was a meteor shower and we happened to be up all night to watch it! We saw shooting star after shooting star, and so the light up stars canvas couldn’t have been put to better use and became such a perfect synchronicity!

Do you also see how it says "Right Place Right Time" in the lower left corner? I put this in because of a conversation I was having with a friend at the time. Everything else was all inspired by the music and bands who were playing. I just did my best to paint what I heard and felt with no pre planning or ideas coming into it!
